Until fairly recently, CICS stood for Chinese Information and Community Services of Greater Toronto, but because its constituency, if I may put it that way, is broader now and includes more than the ethnic Chinese community of Toronto and the Municipalities of Peel and York, they have changed the name to Centre for Information and Community Services.
