Aid per hectare shall be granted to producers and producers groups and organizations recognized pursuant to Article 13 of Council Regulation (EEC) No 1035/72 of 18 May 1972 on the common organization of the market in fruit and vegetables (7) and Council Regulation (EEC) No 1360/78 of 19 June 1978 on producer groups and associations thereof (8) respectively that undertake a programme of initiatives, approved by the competent authorities, with a view to the development and/or diversification of production and/or the improvement of the quality of the fruit, vegetables and flowers listed in Chapters 6, 7 and 8 of the combined nomenclature.
