For vehicles fitted with axle-lift devices, the requirement of point 6.1 shall also apply with the lift axle(s) in the lifted position and where the loadable axle(s) is in service.

By way of derogation from the requirements of point 1 and to help motor vehicles or vehicle combinations to move off on slippery ground and to increase the traction of the tyres on these surfaces as well to improve their manoeuvrability, the axle lift device may actuate the lift- or loadable axle(s) of a motor vehicle or semi-trailer to increase or decrease the mass on the driving axle of the motor vehicle, subject to the following conditions:

2. In the cases referred to in points (a) and (b) of paragraph 1, where the person responsible for the design and manufacture of the lift and the person responsible for the installation and testing of the lift are not the same, the former shall supply to the latter all the necessary documents and information to enable the latter to ensure correct and safe installation and testing of the lift.

Where the third country in question lifts the visa requirement without the Member State concerned notifying it in accordance with the first subparagraph of this point, the Commission shall on its own initiative proceed without delay with the publication referred to in that subparagraph, and the second subparagraph of this point shall apply.

(e)if the third country concerned has not lifted the visa requirement, the Commission shall, at the latest six months of the date of the publication referred to in the third subparagraph of point (a) and subsequently at intervals not exceeding six months within a total period which may not extend beyond the date on which the delegated act referred to in point (f) takes effect or is objected to:
e)si le pays tiers concerné n'a pas levé l'obligation de visa, la Commission, au plus tard six mois à compter de la date de publication visée au point a), troisième alinéa, et ensuite tous les six mois au moins au cours d'une période qui, au total, ne peut aller au-delà de la date à laquelle l'acte délégué visé au point f) prend effet ou à laquelle il y est fait objection:

(c)if within 90 days of the date of the publication referred to in the third subparagraph of point (a) and despite all the steps taken in accordance with point (b), the third country has not lifted the visa requirement, the Member State concerned may request the Commission to suspend the exemption from the visa requirement for certain categories of nationals of that third country.
c)si, dans les quatre-vingt-dix jours à compter de la date de publication visée au point a), troisième alinéa, et malgré toutes les démarches entamées conformément au point b), le pays tiers en cause n'a pas levé l'obligation de visa, l'État membre concerné peut demander à la Commission de suspendre l'exemption de l'obligation de visa à l'égard de certaines catégories de ressortissants dudit pays tiers.
