It was agreed that the Committee on Transport and Tourism would like to enter three new pilot projects in the DB. These are: Europe’s cultural and industrial heritage routes, European transport information and booking interface across the transport modes, and tourism and accessibility for all.

Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, as this debate, this plenary session and my parliamentary activity draw to a close, allow me to extend my sincerest thanks to my colleagues on the Committee on Transport and Tourism and in the secretariat of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, as well as the chairman of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and the Vice-President of the Commission and his entire DG TREN team.
Monsieur le Président, Mesdames et Messieurs, ce débat et cette session plénière touchant à leur fin, de même que mon activité parlementaire, permettez-moi de présenter mes remerciements les plus sincères à mes collègues de la commission des transports et du tourisme et du secrétariat de la commission des transports et du tourisme, ainsi qu’au président de la commission du tourisme et au vice-président de la Commission et à toute l’équipe de la DG TREN.

– (FR) Mr President, I must firstly thank Mrs Ayala Sender for her report because our work was in fact very constructive. She took into account most of the amendments tabled by the various members of the Committee on Transport and Tourism to ensure that we arrived at a draft directive that could be adopted, if not unanimously, at least by a very large majority in the Committee on Transport.
– Monsieur le Président, je voudrais tout d’abord remercier M Ayala Sender pour son rapport parce que, en effet, nous avons travaillé de manière très constructive, et elle a pris en considération la plupart des amendements qui avaient été apportés par les différents membres de la commission des transports pour faire en sorte, et bien, qu’on aboutisse à un projet de directive qui puisse être adopté, si ce n’est à l’unanimité, en tout cas à une majorité des voix extrêmement importante au sein de la commission des transports.

I have made a detailed analysis of the possible effect on the Baltic States. Taking into account everything that has been said already, I call on my fellow Members to reject my report, as the Committee on Transport and Tourism has done, and at the same time I call on my fellow Members to support the package approach for the other three pieces of legislation and to support them in the wording approved by the Committee on Transport and Tourism.
Compte tenu de tout ce qui a été dit, j’invite les collègues à rejeter mon rapport, comme la commission des transports et du tourisme l’a fait, et à soutenir l’approche par paquet pour les trois autres actes législatifs et à appuyer ces derniers dans la formulation approuvée par la commission des transports et du tourisme.

At the sitting of 11 December 1995 the President of the European Parliament announced that he had referred this proposal to the Committee on Transport and Tourism as the committee responsible and to the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Industrial Policy for its opinion.
