(3) If the institution of one Contracting State requires an applicant or beneficiary to undergo a medical examination, such examination, on the request of that institution and at its expense, shall be arranged or carried out by the institution of the other Contracting State where the applicant or beneficiary resides.

3 (1) Subject to section 4, remission is granted of the customs duties paid or payable on the importation of apparel produced in a country or territory that is a beneficiary of the General Preferential Tariff in the List of Countries and Applicable Tariff Treatments set out in the schedule to the Customs Tariff in whole or in part from textiles produced in Canada and shipped directly to that country or territory from Canada, without undergoing further processing outside that country or territory, and then shipped directly to Canada from that country or territory.

2. If the competent institution of one Party requires that a claimant or a beneficiary who resides in the territory of the other Party undergo an additional medical examination, the liaison agency of the latter Party, at the request of the competent institution of the first Party, will make arrangements for carrying out this examination according to the rules applied by the liaison agency making the said arrangements and at the expense of the institution which requests the medical examination.

Si l’institution compétente d’une Partie exige qu’un requérant ou bénéficiaire qui réside sur le territoire de l’autre Partie subisse un examen médical additionnel, l’organisme de liaison de l’autre Partie, à la demande de l’institution compétente de la première Partie, prendra les dispositions nécessaires pour que ledit examen soit effectué selon les règles appliquées par l’organisme de liaison qui prend lesdites dispositions et aux frais de l’institution qui demande ledit examen médical.

If the competent institution of a Contracting Party requires that a claimant or a beneficiary who resides in the territory of the other Contracting Party undergo a medical examination, the competent institution of the latter Contracting Party, at the request of the competent institution of the first Contracting Party, shall make arrangements for carrying out this examination.

Recommends, in order to promote exchange programmes, dynamic research, innovation and lifelong learning, the creation of networks with higher education and research institutions in the future Mediterranean macro-region and the development of education infrastructure in that region, as well as the removal of obstacles to the movement of students, persons undergoing training, young volunteers, teachers, trainers, researchers and administrative staff; stresses the need to strengthen the quality of teaching and research in those networks by adequately financing and supporting the Tempus and Erasmus Mundus programmes, especially in view of the low number of Erasmus Mundus programme beneficiaries in the Mediterranean area;
