Finally Article III-274 of the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe states that once the Treaty comes into force, the Council, acting unanimously and after obtaining the consent of the European Parliament, may establish a European Public Prosecutor’s Office from Eurojust to combat crimes affecting the financial interests of the Union. The European Public Prosecutor’s Office would be responsible for investigating, prosecuting and bringing to judgment the perpetrators of, and accomplices in, offences of this type.
Enfin, le traité établissant une Constitution pour l’Europe prévoit, dans son art. III-274, que le Conseil, statuant à l’unanimité et après approbation du Parlement européen, peut instituer un Parquet européen à partir d’Eurojust pour combattre les infractions portant atteinte aux intérêts financiers de l’Union.
