IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

The Vice President of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Mr. Sauli Niinistö and Mr. Inesis Feiferis, Chairman of the Board and President of Mortgage and Land Bank of Latvia, signed in Riga on 6 October a long-term loan of EUR 30 million for financing of small- and medium-scale projects in Latvia.
M. Sauli Niinistö, vice-président de la Banque européenne d'investissement (BEI), et M. Inesis Feiferis, président de la banque lettone de crédit hypothécaire et foncier et de son conseil d'administration, ont signé, le 6 octobre à Riga, un contrat portant sur un prêt à long terme de 30 millions d'EUR destiné au financement, en Lettonie, de projets de petite et moyenne dimension.

The financing agreements were signed today, on the occasion of the EIB’s Annual Forum held in Helsinki, by Mr. Mikael Ingberg, Managing Director, and Mr. Asko Rintala, Deputy Managing Director of Aktia Savings Bank, and Mr Sauli Niinistö, Vice-President of the EIB. The latter commented: “This new partnership will enable SMEs to benefit from the EIB’s keen market rates, through tailored-made loans, granted on the basis of Aktia’s in-depth knowledge of the Finnish market”.
Les accords de financement ont été signés ce jour, à l’occasion du Forum annuel de la BEI qui se tient à Helsinki, par MM. Mikael Ingberg et Asko Rintala, respectivement directeur général et directeur général adjoint d’Aktia Savings Bank, et par M. Sauli Niinistö, vice-président de la BEI, ce dernier ayant déclaré : « Grâce à ce nouveau partenariat, les PME pourront bénéficier des taux très avantageux qu’offre la BEI, sous la forme de prêts taillés sur mesure, octroyés sur la base de la connaissance approfondie qu’Aktia a du marché finlandais ».

Sauli Niinistö, Vice-President of the EIB commented, “The funding in support of Metso’s RD and innovation activities under the Bank’s Innovation 2010 Initiative corresponds to the European Council’s recommendations to bolster investments in human capital, and industrial innovations and research.

The loan was signed in Tallinn on 7 May by Eesti Energia's: Gunnar Okk, Chairman of the Board, and Sandor Liive, CFO and Member of the Board; and EIB's Sauli Niinistö, Vice-President.
Le prêt a été signé à Tallin ce 7 mai par MM. Gunnar Okk et Sandor Liive, respectivement président du conseil d'administration et administrateur - directeur général des finances d'Eesti Energia, et par M. Sauli Niinistö, vice-président de la BEI et responsable de ses opérations dans les pays scandinaves et les États baltes.

The loan was signed by Mr. Sauli Niinistö, the Vice-President of the EIB whose responsibilities nclude supervision of the EIB activity in Russia and Mr. Karmazinov, Director General of Vodokanal and will come into force after approval of the security arrangements.
