Condemns the abduction by the CIA of the German national, Khaled el Masri, who was held in Afghanistan from January to May 2004 and subjected to degrading and inhuman treatment; notes further the suspicion – not yet allayed – that Khaled el Masri was illegally held before that date, from 31 December 2003 to 23 January 2004, in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and that he was transported from there to Afghanistan on 23-24 January 2004; considers the measures that the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia claims to have taken to investigate the matter to be inadequate;

Points out again that the authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances in which a German citizen, Khaled El-Masri, was abducted to Afghanistan in 2003 and to make public the results of the investigation; urges the national parliament of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to set up a committee of inquiry as soon as possible to deal with this case and to cooperate fully with the ongoing inquiry of the German Parliament in order to ascertain the truth;
32. souligne à nouveau que les autorités sont appelées à enquêter sur les circonstances dans lesquelles Khaled El-Masri, citoyen allemand, a été enlevé et transféré en Afghanistan en 2003 et à publier les résultats de cette enquête; demande instamment au parlement national de l'ancienne République yougoslave de Macédoine de créer une commission d'enquête le plus rapidement possible pour examiner cette affaire, afin de coopérer pleinement avec l'enquête en cours du parlement allemand, en vue d'établir la vérité;
