The Council confirmed this position on 10 April, recalling that the new Palestinian Government's failure to adhere to those three principles would have unavoidable consequences on direct aid for this government; this was also stressed once again in the conclusions on the Middle East peace process adopted by the Council at its meeting on 15 May.
