– (EL) Madam President, Minister, a letter from the chair of the European Parliament Committee on Transport and Tourism was published recently, in which he says that, within the framework of the spending cuts imposed on Greece under the Memorandum of Understanding with the International Monetary Fund and the European Union, the Greek Government intends to close a series of railway lines that form part of the TENT-T network and which recently received funding from the Structural Funds for the purposes of modernisation.
– (EL) Madame la Présidente, Monsieur le Ministre, dans une lettre divulguée récemment, le président de la commission des transports et du tourisme du Parlement européen dénonce l’intention du gouvernement grec de procéder, dans le cadre des économies que lui impose le protocole d’accord signé avec le Fonds monétaire international et l’Union européenne, à la fermeture d’une série de lignes de chemin de fer faisant partie du réseau RTE-T et pour la modernisation desquelles le pays a récemment reçu une aide des fonds structurels.
