The relief referred to in paragraph 1 shall apply to spare parts, components or accessories specifically for the articles in question, and to the tools to be used for the maintenance, checking, calibration or repair of the said articles, provided that such spare parts, components, accessories or tools are imported at the same time as the said articles or, if imported subsequently, that they can be identified as being intended for articles previously admitted duty-free, or which would be entitled to relief at the time when such relief is requested for the specific spare parts, components or accessories and tools in question.
2. If, in cases involving third countries which have concluded equivalence agreements with the Community, the Commission, after making enquiries of the competent authorities of the third countries concerned, concludes that they have failed to fulfil their obligations and the guarantees given by the plans referred to in Article 29(1), it shall cease to allow the country concerned, under the regulatory procedure referred to in Article 33(2), to benefit from the said agreements for the animals and products in question until that third country has made good its shortcomings. The suspension shall be revoked under the same procedure’.
Si, dans le cas des pays tiers ayant conclu des accords d’équivalence avec la Communauté, la Commission, après enquête auprès des autorités compétentes du pays tiers mis en cause, parvient à la conclusion que ces dernières ont failli à leurs obligations et aux garanties données dans les plans visés à l’article 29, paragraphe 1, elle suspend pour le pays concerné, en conformité avec la procédure de réglementation visée à l’article 33, paragraphe 2, le bénéfice desdits accords pour les animaux et produits mis en cause jusqu’à ce que ce pays tiers ait fourni la preuve qu’il a été porté remède aux manquements. In case of application of Articles 3 and 4 of Regulation (EC) No 1259/1999 during the reference period, the amounts referred to in Annex VII shall be those that would have been granted before application of the said Articles.

The references to the articles, titles and sections of the Treaties referred to in paragraph 2 contained in other instruments or acts shall be understood as references to the articles, titles and sections of the Treaties as renumbered pursuant to paragraph 1 and, respectively, to the paragraphs of the said articles, as renumbered by certain provisions of Article 6.
