The British Government will assume the presidency of the European Union later this year and, as a very firm ally of the present American Administration, I would hope that it will be in a very strong diplomatic position to coax the American Government to move forward on this matter in a more constructive way.
Le gouvernement britannique assumera la présidence de l’Union européenne dans le courant de cette année. J’espère, en sa qualité d’allié indéfectible de l’actuelle administration américaine, qu’il sera dans une position diplomatique de premier choix pour inciter le gouvernement américain à avancer dans ce dossier de manière plus constructive.
