TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

I would like to mention a solution which has been promoted for many years by the Christian and Democratic Union – Czechoslovak People’s Party (KDU-ČSL) in the Czech Republic.

Young people are now less committed than in the past to the traditional structures for political and social action (e.g. parties, trade unions), and they have a low level of involvement in democratic consultation.
Jongeren voelen zich veel minder dan vroeger aangesproken door de traditionele structuren van politieke en sociale actie (partijen, vakbonden).

Among the Vice-Presidents, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and the First Vice-President are affiliated to the Progressive Alliance of Social Democrats (SD), 3 Vice-Presidents are affiliated to the European People's Party (EPP) and 2 are affiliated to the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE).
Van de vicevoorzitters zijn de hoge vertegenwoordiger van de Unie voor Buitenlandse Zaken en Veiligheidsbeleid en de eerste vicevoorzitter verbonden met de Progressieve Alliantie van Socialisten en Democraten (SD), 3 vicevoorzitters zijn verbonden met de Europese Volkspartij (EVP) en 2 met de Alliantie van Liberalen en Democraten voor Europa (ALDE).

I myself felt this atmosphere of gloom in the European People’s Party, the European grouping of Christian Democratic parties.

Mrs Handzlik is a fellow member of the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats, and a compatriot of mine. Her report is important for us not only because, if I am not mistaken, it is the first report drafted by a female Polish MEP, but also because it concerns a particularly important issue, one that is crucial to the economic development of the European Union. I refer to the functioning of a truly common and free market for services within the European Union.
Dit verslag is niet alleen van belang omdat het, als ik mij niet vergis, het eerste verslag is dat door een Pools parlementslid is opgesteld, maar vooral omdat het een buitengewoon belangrijk onderwerp betreft. I have been asked by the leader of the Czech delegation within the Group of the European People’s Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats (PPE/DE) to point out that three members of this group, including two women, my colleagues in the Czech delegation, were not appointed to any committees.
De leider van de Tsjechische delegatie in de Fractie van de Europese Volkspartij (Christen-democraten) en Europese Democraten heeft mij verzocht om u op het volgende te wijzen.
