3. Support under points (a) and (b) of paragraph 1 shall be limited to the maximum support rates laid down in Annex II. Those maximum rates may be increased for young farmers, for collective investments, including those linked to a merger of Producer Organisations, and for integrated projects involving support under more than one measure, for investments in areas facing natural and other specific constraints as referred to in Article 32, for investments linked to operations under Articles 28 and 29 and for operations supported in the framework of the EIP for agricultural productivity and sustainability in accordance with the support rates laid down in Annex II. However, the maximum combined support rate may not exceed 90 %.
3. De in het kader van lid 1, onder a) en b), verleende steun mag de in bijlage II vastgestelde maximale steunpercentages niet overschrijden. Due to the temporary nature of that increase and in order to maintain the original co-financing rates as the reference point for calculation of the temporarily increased amounts, the changes resulting from application of the mechanism should not be reflected in the financial plan included in the operational programme.

Where the measure concerned entails the financing of revenue-generating investments, the Commission shall determine, within the framework of the partnership, the rate of contribution from the Funds for these investments, in compliance with the provisions of Article 13 (3) of Regulation (EEC) No 2052/88 and on the basis of the criteria referred to in paragraph 1 of that Article, taking account, amongst their intrinsic characteristics of the size of the gross self-financing margin which would normally be expected for the class of investments concerned in the light of the macro-economic circumstances in which the investments are to be implemented, and without there being any increase in the national budget effort as a result of contribution by the Fund.
3 .
