125. Calls on the Member States, in a spirit of good cooperation, to endorse the proposals included in the Commission’s action plan of 17 June 2015 for fair and efficient corporate taxation in the EU; believes that the Group’s legitimacy would benefit from increased transparency and accountability; advocates therefore that the Group’s governance and mandate be reshaped, including through the appointment of a permanent, politically accountable Chair, the improvement of its working methods, including a possible enforcement mechanism, the regular participation in the Group by finance ministers or senior officials, in order to raise its profile, and enhanced information exchange within the Group with a view to effectively addressing BEPS issues; calls also for the criteria set in the Code to be updated and broadened in order to cover new forms of harmful tax practices, including in third countries; calls on the Chair of the Group and on the Council to regularly report to and exchange with its competent committee on the activities of the Group, in particular with regard to the presentation of its biannual reports to ECOFIN;
125. vraagt de lidstaten in een geest van goede samenwerking de voorstellen te steunen die zijn opgenomen in het actieplan van de Commissie van 17 juni 2015 voor eerlijke en doeltreffende vennootschapsbelasting in de EU; meent dat meer transparantie en verantwoording de legitimiteit van de Groep ten goede zouden komen; pleit er daarom voor om het bestuur en mandaat van de Groep te hervormen, onder meer door de benoeming van een permanent voorzitterschap dat politieke verantwoording moet afleggen, de verbetering van de werkmethoden, eventueel met een nalevingsmechanisme, de regelmatige deelname van ministers van Financiën of hoge ambtenaren aan de Groep om zijn zichtbaarheid te vergroten, en meer informatie-uitwisseling binnen de Groep om BEPS-kwesties doeltreffend aan te pakken; vraagt ook dat de criteria in de Gedragscode worden geactualiseerd en uitgebreid om nieuwe vormen van schadelijke belastingpraktijken te dekken, ook in derde landen; verzoekt de voorzitter van de Groep en de Raad regelmatig over de activiteiten van de Groep verslag uit te brengen aan en te overleggen met zijn bevoegde commissie, met name wat de indiening van zijn halfjaarlijkse verslagen aan Ecofin betreft;

In parallel the Conference of Committee Chairs shall hold a regular exchange of views with the Vice-President of the Commission responsible for interinstitutional relations, in order to assess the state of implementation of the current Commission Work Programme, discuss the preparation of the future Commission Work Programme and take stock of the results of the ongoing bilateral dialogue between the parliamentary committees concerned and relevant Members of the Commission.
Parallel hiermee houdt de Conferentie van commissievoorzitters geregeld een gedachtewisseling met de voor interinstitutionele betrekkingen bevoegde vicevoorzitter van de Commissie, om de stand van de uitvoering van het lopende werkprogramma van de Commissie te beoordelen, de voorbereiding van het toekomstige werkprogramma van de Commissie te bespreken en de balans op te maken van de resultaten van de lopende bilaterale dialoog tussen de betrokken parlementaire commissies en de bevoegde leden van de Commissie.

I said Europe’s stock exchanges because we in this Parliament’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs have for many years now been working for the construction, consolidation and integration of a European financial market, and I think the question we are faced with today is really whether or not there should be European stock exchanges.
