April 2013 hat der Rat den Beschluss 2013/183/GASP über restriktive Maßnahmen gegen die Demokratische Volksrepublik Korea (im Folgenden „DVRK“) erlassen, mit dem der Beschluss 2010/800/GASP ersetzt wurde und unter anderem die Resolutionen 1718 (2006), 1874 (2009), 2087 (2013) und 2094 (2013) des Sicherheitsrates der Vereinten Nationen (im Folgenden „VN-Sicherheitsrat“) umgesetzt wurden.

„Regarding the ratification of the IGA, I can confirm on behalf of the Council that 'The signatories to the Intergovernmental Agreement on the transfer and mutualisation of contributions to the Single Resolution Fund are ready to declare that they will strive to complete its process of ratification in accordance with their respective national legal requirements in due time so as to permit the Single Resolution Mechanism to be fully operational by the 1st January 2016'”.

Die Union und die ÜLG fördern die regulative Konvergenz mit anerkannten internationalen Regulierungs- und Überwachungsstandards im Bereich Finanzdienstleistungen; international vereinbarte Standards dieser Art sind unter anderem: die Grundsätze für eine wirksame Bankenaufsicht des Basler Ausschusses für Bankenaufsicht, die wesentlichen Grundsätze der Versicherungsaufsicht der Internationalen Vereinigung der Versicherungsaufsichtsbehörden, die Ziele und Grundsätze der Wertpapieraufsicht der Internationalen Organisation der Wertpapieraufsichtsbehörden (IOSCP), das Abkommen zum Informationsaustausch in Steuersachen der OECD, die Erklärung zu Transparenz und Informationsaustausch für Besteuerungszwecke der G20, die vom Rat für Finanzstabilität erarbeiteten Kernelemente eines effektiven Abwicklungsregimes für Finanzinstitute („Key Attributes of Effective Resolution Regimes for Financial Institutions“) sowie die „Internationalen Standards zur Bekämpfung der Geldwäsche und der Finanzierung von Terrorismus und Proliferation — FATF-Empfehlungen“ der Arbeitsgruppe „Bekämpfung der Geldwäsche und der Terrorismusfinanzierung“ (FATF).

4. Reiterates its full support for the UN Security Council resolution adopted under Article 41, Chapter VII of the UN Charter; endorses the European Council conclusions of 14 December 2007; welcomes the agreement reached at the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the UNSC permanent members and Germany as well as the EU High Representative for CFSP at their meeting in Berlin on 22 January 2008 on a new draft resolution on Iran which foresees further measures and the fact that the international community maintains a common approach to the issue;
4. bekräftigt seine uneingeschränkte Unterstützung für die Resolution des UN-Sicherheitsrates, die gemäß Artikel 41 Kapitel VII der UN-Charta angenommen wurde; billigt die Schlussfolgerungen des Europäischen Rates vom 14. Dezember 2007; begrüßt die Vereinbarung, die die Außenminister der ständigen Mitglieder des UN-Sicherheitsrates und Deutschlands sowie der Hohe Vertreter der Europäischen Union für die GASP auf ihrem Treffen am 22. Januar 2008 in Berlin zu einem Entwurf einer neuen Resolution zu Iran erzielt haben, in der weitere Maßnahmen vorgesehen sind und die Tatsache betont wird, dass die Völkergemeinschaft einen gemeinsamen Ansatz in dieser Frage verfolgt;

− I voted in favour of this resolution which approves the conclusion of the agreement with Georgia on readmission of persons residing without authorisation, which will push out the frontiers of the area of liberty and security, extending it beyond the European Union and encompassing this neighbouring country.
– Ich habe für diese Entschließung gestimmt, die den Abschluss des Abkommens mit Georgien über die Rückübernahme von Personen mit unbefugtem Aufenthalt befürwortet; dieses Abkommen wird die Grenzen des Raums der Freiheit und der Sicherheit verschieben und diesen Raum über die Europäische Union hinaus auf das Nachbarland ausdehnen.

− I voted in favour of this resolution because it supports Council's proposal for a directive which provides clear measures concerning the prevention of crime and victim protection in particular.
– Ich habe für diese Entschließung gestimmt, da sie den Vorschlag für eine Richtlinie der Kommission unterstützt, die klare Maßnahmen für die Prävention von Straftaten und im speziellen den Opferschutz enthält.
