— Air transport : air transport plays a very important role owing in particular to the development of tourism and the mobility of immigrant populations; the objective is to improve airport capacity and integrate air traffic management systems with a view to the creation of the Single European Sky; these measures will be supplemented by the possible conclusion of « Open Sky » agreements between the EU and the Mediterranean partners concerned and by participation in the European Aviation Safety Agency;
— Transport aérien: le transport aérien joue un rôle très important dû notamment au développement touristique et à la mobilité des populations immigrées; l'objectif est d'améliorer les capacités aéroportuaires et l'intégration des systèmes de gestion du trafic aérien visant la création du Ciel unique européen; ces efforts seront complétés par la conclusion éventuelle d'accords « Ciel ouvert » entre l'UE et les partenaires méditerranéens intéressés ainsi que par la participation à l'Agence européenne pour la sécurité aérienne;

In view of the fact that that women occupy only one seat in four in national parliaments and governments, that only 10% of the directors of major listed companies in the EU are women and only that 3% of such companies are chaired by women, the Commission states, in its Strategy for equality between women and men 2010-2015, that it will consider ‘initiatives’, ‘monitor progress’ and ‘support efforts’ to promote women’s participation.
