Evenmin kwam er een akkoord over de betwiste olierijke regio Abyei, waar thans de VN-operatie “United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei” (UNISFA) met circa 4 200 Ethiopische manschappen ontplooid is.
Un accord n’a pas non plus été conclu sur la région contestée et riche en pétrole d’Abyei où, actuellement, l’Opération des Nations unies « United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei »(FISNUA) est déployée avec environ 4 200 hommes (éthiopiens).
