This is being spent on the following work: Chernobyl A projet to train Chernobyl staff in fire protection and decontamination; Design studies for the construction of mobile installations for decontamination around the plant; A project to transfer Western know-how regardind reactor decommissioning; A study to explore the safest way of enclosing the damaged reactor unit; A decontamination project to clean up the 800-odd nuclear dumps situated within a 30 km radius of the Chernobyl site; A regional project supporting Ukranian, Russian and Belorussian communities suffering economic and social damage because of the Chernobyl fall-out.
Ce montant a été consacré aux réalisations suivantes: Tchernobyl Projet de formation du personnel de Tchernobyl affecté à la protection contre les incendies et à la décontamination; études de conception pour la construction d'installations mobiles de décontamination autour de la centrale; projet de transfert du savoir-faire occidental concernant l'arrêt définitif de réacteurs; étude du moyen le plus sûr de réaliser une enceinte autour du réacteur endommagé; projet de décontamination des quelque 800 décharges nucléaires situées dans un rayon de 30 km autour du site de Tchernobyl; projet régional de soutien aux collectivités ukrainiennes, russes et biélorusses ayant subi des dommages économiques et sociaux à la suite de l'accident de Tchernobyl.
