IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Annex 1A to the Agreement establishing the World Trade Organisation (‘the WTO Agreement’) contains, inter alia, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994 (‘the GATT 1994’), an Agreement on Agriculture (‘the Agreement on Agriculture’), an Agreement on Implementation of Article VI of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994 and an Agreement on Subsidies and Countervailing Measures (‘the Subsidies Agreement’).
L'annexe 1A de l'accord instituant l'Organisation mondiale du commerce (ci-après dénommé «accord sur l'OMC») contient, entre autres, l'accord général sur les tarifs douaniers et le commerce de 1994 (ci-après dénommé «GATT 1994»), un accord sur l'agriculture (ci-après dénommé «accord sur l'agriculture»), un accord sur la mise en œuvre de l'article VI de l'accord général sur les tarifs douaniers et le commerce de 1994 et un accord sur les subventions et les mesures compensatoires (ci-après dénommé «accord sur les subventions»).

As regards matters relating to Annex 12 to the Agricultural Agreement and the Appendices thereto, the European Union’s position on matters which are subject to the Decisions of the Joint Committee for Agriculture as referred to in Article 6(3) of the Agricultural Agreement shall be adopted by the Commission in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 15 of Council Regulation (EC) No 510/2006 (4).

The Appendices to Annex 11 to the Agriculture Agreement were amended for the first time by Decision No 2/2003 of the Joint Veterinary Committee set up by the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products of 25 November 2003 amending Appendices 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 11 to Annex 11 to the Agreement (1).

The Appendices to Annex 11 to the Agriculture Agreement were last amended by Decision No 1/2008 of the Joint Veterinary Committee set up by the Agreement between the European Community and the Swiss Confederation on trade in agricultural products of 23 December 2008 regarding the amendment of Appendices 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 10 to Annex 11 to the Agreement (2).

3. The guarantees for the disposal of sugar, isoglucose and insulin syrup produced under quota may be reduced for one or more marketing years in order to comply with the Community's commitments under the Agricultural Agreement concluded under Article 300(2) of the Treaty.
