Over a period of time we want a full discussion by asking Canadians about the values and the principles that they want to see in an electoral system and then have that report come back to Parliament, to the members of the House, so that we can continue the work that was started in the last Parliament by Ed Broadbent and others in the House.
Au cours d'une certaine période, nous souhaitons qu'une discussion en profondeur ait lieu et, à cette fin, nous demandons aux Canadiens de définir les valeurs et les principes qu'ils veulent intégrer à un régime électoral et nous souhaitons ensuite que le rapport qui en résultera soit soumis au Parlement, aux députés, de manière à ce que nous puissions poursuivre le travail amorcé durant la dernière législature par Ed Broadbent et d'autres députés.
