Following an application from Nutrilinks Sarl, submitted pursuant to Article 13(5) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, the Authority was required to deliver an opinion on a health claim related to the effects of a combination of Paullinia cupana Kunth (guarana) and Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze (green tea) extracts and reduction of body weight (Question No EFSA-Q-2012-00590) (15).
À la suite d’une demande de Nutrilinks Sarl, introduite en application de l’article 13, paragraphe 5, du règlement (CE) no 1924/2006, l’Autorité a été invitée à rendre un avis sur une allégation de santé concernant une combinaison d’extraits de Paullinia cupana Kunth (guarana) et de Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze (thé vert) et la perte de poids (question no EFSA-Q-2012-00590) (15).

On 14 December 2012, the Commission and the Member States received the scientific opinion from the Authority, which concluded that on the basis of the data presented, a cause and effect relationship had not been established between the consumption of a combination of Paullinia cupana Kunth (guarana) and Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze (green tea) extracts and the claimed effect.
Le 14 décembre 2012, la Commission et les États membres ont reçu l’avis scientifique de l’Autorité, dans lequel cette dernière conclut, sur la base des données fournies, qu’un lien de cause à effet n’a pas été établi entre la consommation d’une combinaison d’extraits de Paullinia cupana Kunth (guarana) et de Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze (thé vert) et l’effet allégué.

The health claims related to OXY 280 and to the combination of Paullinia cupana Kunth (guarana) and Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze (green tea) extracts are health claims as referred to in point (c) of Article 13(1) of Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 and are therefore subject to the transitional period laid down in Article 28(6) of that Regulation.
Les allégations de santé concernant OXY 280 et la combinaison d’extraits de Paullinia cupana Kunth (guarana) et de Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze (thé vert) sont des allégations de santé visées à l’article 13, paragraphe 1, point c), du règlement (CE) no 1924/2006 et sont donc soumises à la période transitoire prévue à l’article 28, paragraphe 6, de ce règlement.
