Since 1987, with the free trade agreement pertaining to article 705, for market access for grain and grain products, in the original spirit of the agreement, Canada alone had an end-use certificate.

3 (1) Subject to subsection (2), for the purpose of issuing a Certificate of Age and Origin in respect of spirits flavoured by blending into the spirits additional domestic or imported spirits or wine, the resultant product of the blended spirits is deemed to have been warehoused for a period equal to the period of warehousing of the most recently warehoused spirits contained in the resultant product.

5. A Certificate of Age and Origin shall not be issued in respect of spirits bottled for export that bear a label containing any reference to Canada, including the word “Canadian” in the trade name, to designate the type of spirits unless at least 75 per cent of the absolute ethyl alcohol content of those bottled spirits is derived from domestic spirits.

Where not otherwise provided by the respective animal health requirements, additional certification shall guarantee that the animals have remained for at least 21 days on a single holding, or since birth on the holding of origin, if the animals are less than 21 days of age, before being dispatched from that holding either directly or transiting through one single approved assembly centre and, in the case of sheep and goats, comply with the requirements of Article 4b(4) of Directive 91/68/EEC; or

2. The court of origin shall issue the certificate referred to in paragraph 1 only if the child was heard during the procedure in a manner appropriate to his or her age and degree of maturity, unless a hearing was considered inappropriate, having regard to his or her age or degree of maturity.
