· Ontario (Office of Child and Family Services) – In Ontario , the powers of the Chief Advocate are set out in the Child and Family Services Act.[161] The role of the Advocate is to coordinate and administer a system of advocacy, except before a court, on behalf of children and families dealing with services from approved agencies, and to advise the Minister of Community, Family and Children’s Services on matters and issues concerning the interests of those children and families, as well as reporting gaps in service, operational issues, and recommending solutions.
· Québec (Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse du Québec) – Au Québec, les pouvoirs de la Commission sont énoncés dans la Loi sur la protection de la jeunesse[161]. La Commission se compose, non pas d’un protecteur et de son personnel, mais de quinze membres qui font enquête sur des plaintes individuelles ou systématiques fondées sur la discrimination, le harcèlement et d’autres questions de protection de l’enfant.
