Member States should, if they have not already done so, ratify and implement all relevant international Conventions, including the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, its supplementary Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children and the Protocol Against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air, the UN Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography, the UN Convention on the Protection of the Rights of all Migrant Workers and their Families, the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, International Labour Organisation Conventions and core labour standards, in particular No 29 concerning forced labour, No 182 concerning the prohibition and immediate action for the elimination of the worst forms of child labour, and those relating to freedom of association, labour inspection and employment agencies,

The UN Trafficking Protocol must be read in the light of the CRC, taking into account also other relevant international instruments, such as the Optional Protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography of 25 May 2000 and the ILO Convention concerning the Prohibition and Immediate Action for the Elimination of the Worst Forms of Child Labour[lix] as well as the Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Inter Country adoption.

Considers it cause for concern and is deeply preoccupied that unwanted advertising on the Internet (junk mail or spam) is growing; notes that this has now become a means of propagating pornography and promoting prostitution; notes that in many cases it involves the marketing and sale of sex-related products and services; therefore calls on the Commission to review existing legislation in the field and to propose legislation with a view in particular to combating child pornography and child prostitution on the Internet; encourages Member States to promote the introduction of voluntary codes of conduct for the marketing and sale of products on the Internet;
6. estime préoccupant et se déclare profondément inquiet que la publicité non sollicitée sur le réseau électronique (pourriels ou spams), soit croissante; note que c'est devenu un moyen de propager la pornographie et de promouvoir la prostitution; constate qu'il s'agit souvent de commercialisation et de vente de produits et services liés au sexe; invite par conséquent la Commission à réviser la législation dans ce domaine et à proposer des mesures législatives en vue notamment de lutter contre la pornographie et la prostitution infantiles sur Internet; encourage les États membres à promouvoir l'introduction de codes de conduite volontaires pour la commercialisation et la vente de produits sur Internet;

The widespread concern over child pornography, child prostitution, and child sexual abuse in this country makes it even more urgent for enactment of this legislation to protect the young and vulnerable in our society from predators amongst us.
La préoccupation générale qu'ont les gens à l'égard de la pornographie juvénile, de la prostitution enfantine et de l'abus sexuel d'enfants dans ce pays augmente d'autant l'urgence de l'adoption d'une loi qui protège les jeunes et les vulnérables dans notre société contre les prédateurs parmi nous.
