The Manitoba Milk Producers’ Marketing Board, pursuant to section 4Footnote of the Manitoba Milk Order, C.R.C., c. 155, made pursuant to section 2 of the Agricultural Products Marketing Act, hereby revokes the Manitoba Milk Marketing Levies Order, C.R.C., c. 156 and makes the annexed Order providing for the fixing, imposing and collecting of levies payable for the marketing, in interprovincial and export trade, of milk and cream produced in Manitoba, in substitution therefor.

In this Order, the expressions “CFC” , “chicken” , “federal market development quota” , “federal quota” , “marketing” , “producer” , “Provincial Commodity Board” , “provincial market development quota” , “provincial quota” and “registered production facilities” have the same meaning as in section 1 of the Canadian Chicken Marketing Quota Regulations.

5 (1) The Agency shall allot an orderly marketing quota to any applicant who meets the requirements of section 4 and is a holder of a licence under the Canadian Broiler Hatching Egg and Chick Licensing Regulations for the year in respect of which the orderly marketing quota applies.

In order to avoid hampering the restructuring of the sugar sector, it is considered necessary to provide for an exemption, at the request of the undertaking, from the withdrawal in the 2007/2008 marketing year or from a possible withdrawal in the 2008/2009 marketing year for those undertakings which in the marketing year of withdrawal concerned have successfully applied for restructuring aid under Regulation (EC) No 320/2006 and which as a result are going to renounce their total quota in the following marketing year.

In order to preserve the structural balance of the market at a price level which is close to the reference price, taking into account the commitments of the Community resulting from agreements concluded in accordance with Article 300 of the Treaty, a percentage, common to all Member States, of quota sugar, quota isoglucose and quota inulin syrup may be withdrawn from the market until the beginning of the following marketing year.
