Deplores the lack of reliable official statistics on unaccompanied minors; calls on the Member States and the Commission to improve the collection of statistics on unaccompanied minors, including age and gender statistics, to improve the comparability of statistics collection across Member States, to establish a coordinated method for gathering and sharing information in each Member State, while ensuring that personal data is protected, by means of platforms bringing together all parties involved in the issue of unaccompanied minors and of a list of national contact points and to make better use of the tools already available to collect statistics at EU level, such as Eurostat, Frontex, the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) and the European Migration Network; stresses that the purpose of gathering such data is to achieve a better understanding of the situation, to improve the protection of unaccompanied minors and to better respond to their needs; calls on the Commission, the Member States, the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) and international and non‑governmental organisations to make additional efforts, in gathering, monitoring and exchanging accurate data broken down by gender, to have an exhaustive overview of the number of unaccompanied girls and to be able to examine the specific needs of this group with a view to providing them with support and implementing specific measures to address those needs, and to exchange best practices with a view to making improvements;
7. déplore le manque de statistiques officielles fiables concernant les mineurs non accompagnés; demande aux États membres et à la Commission d'améliorer la collecte de statistiques sur ces mineurs, notamment de statistiques sur leur âge et leur sexe, d'améliorer la comparabilité de cette collecte entre les différents États membres, de mettre en place une méthode coordonnée de collecte et d'échange d'informations dans chaque État membre, tout en garantissant la protection des données à caractère personnel, via des plates-formes regroupant tous les acteurs impliqués dans la problématique des mineurs non accompagnés et via une liste des points de contact nationaux, et de mieux utiliser les outils disponibles pour recueillir des statistiques au niveau européen, comme Eurostat, Frontex, le Bureau européen d'appui en matière d'asile (BEAA) et le Réseau européen des migrations; souligne que cette collecte de données a pour but de mieux comprendre la situation des mineurs non accompagnés, d'améliorer leur protection et de mieux répondre à leurs besoins; invite la Commission, les États membres, l'Institut européen pour l'égalité entre les hommes et les femmes, ainsi que les organisations non gouvernementales et internationales à consentir des efforts supplémentaires pour rassembler, analyser et échanger des données exactes ventilées par sexe, afin de connaître le nombre précis de filles non accompagnées et de pouvoir examiner les besoins spécifiques de ce groupe, dans le but de leur assurer un soutien, de mettre en place des mesures concrètes visant à répondre à leurs besoins et d'échanger les meilleures pratiques en vue d'améliorer ces mesures;

The Commission shall inform the European Parliament and the Council without delay of the notification received by the Member States concerned and examine the notification taking into account the number of Member States affected by any of the situations described in paragraph 1 and the overall impact of the increases on the migratory situation in the Union as the latter appears from the data provided by the Member States as well as from reports prepared by FRONTEX and/or the European Asylum Support Office and, within three months following receipt thereof, the Commission shall send the results of its examination to the European Parliament and the Council, which shall give their opinion in a timely manner, after which the Commission may adopt an implementing decision suspending the exemption of visa requirement for the nationals of the third country concerned for a period of six months. The implementing decision shall be adopted in accordance with the procedure referred to in Article 4a (2).

La Commission informe, sans délai, le Parlement européen et le Conseil de la notification reçue par les États membres concernés et l'examine en tenant compte du nombre d'États membres touchés par une ou plusieurs des situations décrites au paragraphe 1 et de l'incidence globale de ces accroissements sur la situation migratoire dans l'Union telle qu'elle ressort des données fournies par les États membres ainsi que des rapports établis par l'agence Frontex et/ou le Bureau européen d'appui en matière d'asile, et, dans les trois mois suivant la réception de ces informations, elle transmet les résultats de son examen au Parlement européen et au Conseil, qui donnent leur avis en temps opportun, après quoi elle peut adopter une décision d'exécution portant suspension de l'exemption de l'obligation de visa pour les ressortissants du pays tiers en question pendant six mois La décision d'exécution est adoptée dans le respect de la procédure prévue par l'article 4 bis, paragraphe 2.

Calls, in addition, on the Joint Undertaking and in particular its Accounting Officer to formalise and validate the underlying business processes in due time as required by the financial rules; notes the Joint Undertaking's response that validation of the underlying business processes supporting the accounting system was concluded in June 2011; calls on the Joint Undertaking to explain this delay to the discharge authority;

Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data should apply to the processing of personal data by the Support Office.

2. For the purpose of this Arrangement, Regulation (EC) No 45/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2000 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data shall apply to the processing of personal data carried out by the Support Office.

4. The processing of data of a personal nature by the Support Office shall be subject to the Regulation (EC) No 45/2001.
