As regards educational issues, the EP’s views are very similar to the Commission’s ones, in particular as regards the need to reduce the classes sizes, to have the European Baccalaureate become widely available, to have the possibility of an alternative leaving certificate for pupils who leave the European Schools system before the end of the cursus and therefore do not obtain the European Baccalaureate, and the need to ensure, to the largest possible extent, an inclusive approach for children with special educational needs.
Concernant les aspects pédagogiques, le point de vue du PE rejoint sensiblement celui de la Commission, notamment pour ce qui est de la nécessité de réduire la taille des classes, de généraliser le baccalauréat européen, de créer la possibilité d'un certificat de fin d'études de substitution pour les élèves quittant le système des écoles européennes avant la fin du cursus et l’obtention du baccalauréat européen, ainsi que d'assurer dans la plus large mesure possible une approche intégrative pour les enfants qui ont des besoins spécifiques en matière d'éducation.
