(3) The wide range of activities carried out in the Member States (by a public sector body or natural or legal persons) and by various international organisations and programmes such as FAO, the European Cooperative Programme for Crop Genetic Resources Networks (ECP/GR), the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR), the Agricultural Research for Development (ARD) regional and subregional organisations supported by the Community, the European Regional Focal Point (ERFP) of National Coordinators for the Management of Farm Animal Genetic Resources, the European Forest Genetic Resources Programme (Euforgen) and the related commitments of the ongoing Ministerial Conference on the protection of forests in Europe (MCPFE) to which the Community is signatory call for an effective information exchange and close coordination between the Community main actors and with the relevant organisations throughout the world with regard to the conservation, characterisation, collection and utilisation of genetic resources in agriculture so as to enhance their positive impact on agriculture.
(3) La vaste gamme d'activités menées par les États membres (qu'il s'agisse d'organismes du secteur public, de personnes physiques ou de personnes morales), par plusieurs organisations internationales et par des programmes tels que le FAO, le programme coopératif européen pour les réseaux sur les ressources génétiques des cultures, le Groupe consultatif pour la recherche agricole internationale (GCRAI), le forum mondial de recherche agricole (GFAR), les organisations régionales et sous-régionales de recherche agricole pour le développement (RAD) soutenues par la Communauté, le European Regional Focal Point (ERFP) of National Co-ordinators for the Management of Farm Animal Genetic Resources (centre européen régional de coordinateurs nationaux pour la gestion des ressources génétiques des animaux d'élevage), le programme européen des ressources génétiques des forêts (EUFORGEN) et les engagements y afférents pris par l'actuelle conférence ministérielle sur la protection des forêts en Europe, dont la Communauté européenne est signataire, plaident en faveur d'un échange d'information efficace et d'une étroite coordination entre les principaux acteurs de la Communauté et les organisations du monde entier concernées par la conservation, la caractérisation, la collecte et l'utilisation des ressources génétiques agricoles, afin d'accroître leur effet favorable sur l'agriculture.
