In its conclusions of 24 February 2003 on the Mid-term Review of the Fourth Fisheries protocol between the European Community, the Government of Denmark and the Home Rule Government of Greenland, and recognising the geostrategic importance of Greenland to the Union and the spirit of cooperation resulting from the Union’s decision to grant the status of overseas territory to Greenland, the Council agreed that there was a need to broaden and strengthen future relations between the Union and Greenland, taking into account the importance of fisheries and the need for structural and sectoral orientated reforms in Greenland.
Dans ses conclusions du 24 février 2003 concernant la révision à mi-parcours du quatrième protocole en matière de pêche entre la Communauté européenne, le gouvernement du Danemark et le gouvernement autonome du Groenland, reconnaissant l’importance géostratégique du Groenland pour l’Union et rappelant l’esprit de coopération résultant de la décision de l’Union d’accorder au Groenland le statut de territoire d’outre-mer, le Conseil a reconnu la nécessité d’élargir et de renforcer les futures relations entre l’Union et le Groenland en tenant compte de l’importance des pêcheries et de la nécessité de réformes structurelles et sectorielles au Groenland.

The Fisheries Partnership Agreement between the European Community on the one hand, and the Government of Denmark and the Home Rule Government of Greenland on the other hand , concluded by Council Regulation (EC) No 753/2007 , recalls the spirit of cooperation resulting from the decision to grant the status of overseas territory to Greenland.

The Joint Declaration of the European Community, on the one hand, and the Home Rule Government of Greenland and the Government of Denmark, on the other, on partnership between the European Community and Greenland, signed in Luxembourg on 27 June 2006, recalled the close historical, political, economic and cultural connections between the Union and Greenland and emphasised the need to strengthen further their partnership and cooperation.

– (FR) I voted against the Agreement between the European Union and the government of the Faroes on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, not because I am against scientific cooperation between the Union and the Faroe Islands, but because I believe that pressure should start to be put on the Faroe Islands so that the repeated slaughter of pilot whales – almost 1 000 of them are killed each year – stops once and for all.
– J’ai voté contre l’accord de coopération scientifique et technologique entre l’Union européenne et les Îles Féroé, non pas parce que je suis contre la coopération scientifique entre l’Union et les Îles Féroé, mais parce que je crois qu’une pression doit commencer à s’exercer à l’encontre des Îles Féroé pour que cesse définitivement les massacres répétitifs des dauphins globicéphales, qui se chiffrent à près de mille par année.

The exemption concerning the effects of reorganisation measures and winding-up proceedings on certain contracts and rights is limited to those effects and does not cover other questions concerning reorganisation measures and winding-up proceedings such as the lodging, verification, admission and ranking of claims concerning those contracts and rights and the rules governing the distribution of the proceeds of the realisation of the assets, which are governed by the law of the home Member State.
L'exception concernant les effets des mesures d'assainissement et des procédures de liquidation sur certains contrats et droits est limitée à ces effets et ne couvre pas les autres questions concernant les mesures d'assainissement et les procédures de liquidation, telles que la production, la vérification, l'admission et le rang des créances relatives à ces contrats et à ces droits et les règles de distribution du produit de la réalisation des biens, qui sont régies par la législation de l'État membre d'origine.
