This funding includes contributions from the agency's Business Development Program, as well as contributions from the Interdepartmental Partnership with the Official- Language Communities — partnerships with the Department of Canadian Heritage — from the Government of Canada's Action Plan for Official Languages 2003 to 2008, which was approximately $2.4 million, and the above- mentioned Atlantic Canada Cultural and Economic Partnership.

The Committee recommends that the Department of Canadian Heritage undertake a comprehensive evaluation of the Interdepartmental Partnership with the Official-Language Communities before the program ends in order to ensure that it is managed effectively and that it meets the objectives set for interdepartmental coordination.
Le Comité recommande au ministère du Patrimoine canadien d’entreprendre, avant l’échéance prévue, une évaluation d’envergure du Partenariat interministériel avec les communautés de langue officielle, afin de s’assurer qu’il est géré de façon efficace et qu’il répond aux objectifs visés en matière de concertation interministérielle.
