The EU-Western Balkans Youth Forum, with participation of Commissioner Hahn, brought together more than 100 young leaders and representatives of youth organisations from the Western Balkans and the EU to debate mobility, inclusion, entrepreneurship and youth participation.

(5) The Resolution of the Council and of the representatives of the Governments of the Member States, meeting within the Council of 27 June 2002 regarding the framework of European cooperation in the youth field [5] endorses the thematic priorities as proposed in the White Paper on European Youth, and in particular participation and information, especially with the aim of encouraging participation by young people in the exercise of active citizenship, and proposes mechanisms for implementing the open method of coordination by consulting young people through specific arrangements at national level and consulting the European Youth Forum at European level.

The subject of Mr Matutes' address to the Euro-Latin American Forum was the current problems facing Latin America and prospects for cooperation with the Community.
Dans son intervention devant le "Foro Euro-latinoamericano", M. MATUTES a développé le thème des problèmes actuels de l'Amérique Latine et des perspectives de coopération avec la Communauté.

Mr Matutes also attended the fourth EEC-Brazil Joint Committee meeting and met members of the EC-Brazil Business Council (set up in December 1988 by Brazilian and European industrialists with the aim of fostering industrial cooperation). He also took part in the first Euro-Latin American Forum, organized on the initiative of the Lisbon Institute of Strategic and International Studies and the São Paolo Federation of Industries.

Latin America - "Towards Beijing '95: Strategies and projects for participation by Latin American NGOs in the Fourth World Conference on Women", Inter-American Institute of Human Rights (IIDH) ECU 225 000 Project to enable 50 representatives of Latin American and Carribean women's organizations (active in women's human rights promotion, protection and education) to take part in the NGOs Forum and the Fourth World Conference on Women, to be held in September 1995 in Beijing.
Amérique Latine - "Objectif Beijing '95: stratégies, actions et participation des ONG latino-américaines dans la quatrième conférence mondiale de la femme" de l'Institut interaméricain des droits de l'homme (IIDH) - Amérique Latine 225.000 ECU Ce projet permettra à 50 représentants d'ONG et d'organisations féminines en Amérique latine et dans les Caraïbes, qui s'occupent de promouvoir, protéger et enseigner les droits de l'homme aux femmes, de participer à l'assemblée des ONG et à la conférence mondiale sur la femme qui se tiendront à Beijing en septembre 1995.
