(3) ‘Space debris’ means all man-made objects including spacecraft or fragments and elements thereof, in Earth orbit or re-entering the atmosphere, that are non-functional or no longer serve any specific purpose including parts of rockets or artificial satellites, or inactive artificial satellites;
(3) "débris spatial": tout objet conçu par l'homme, notamment tout véhicule spatial ou tout fragment ou élément d'un tel véhicule, en orbite terrestre ou rentrant dans l'atmosphère, qui n'est plus fonctionnel ou qui n'a plus aucune finalité spécifique, y compris les fragments de fusées ou de satellites artificiels ou les satellites artificiels devenus inactifs;
