TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

In pursuing its current nuclear weapons programme, North Korea has broken every international agreement to which it is party, either implicitly or explicitly, and in stating that it is entitled to do so, it has failed to honour its obligations under at least four agreements, the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Safeguards Agreement, the North-South Joint Declaration on Nuclear Disarmament and the framework agreement which, if violated, undermines the agreed KEDO framework on oil supplies.
La Corée du Nord, en poursuivant son programme nucléaire en cours de développement, a rompu tous les accords internationaux auxquels elle était partie, que ce soit tacitement ou explicitement, et en déclarant qu'elle avait le droit d'agir de la sorte, elle a manqué à des obligations qu'elle devait respecter et qui découlent de quatre traités au moins : le traité de non-prolifération nucléaire, l'accord de garanties conclu avec l'AIEA (Agence internationale de l'énergie atomique), la Déclaration commune Nord-Sud sur la dénucléarisation, ainsi que l'accord-cadre, dont la violation remet aussi en cause l'accord-cadre de la KEDO (Organisation pour le développement énergétique de la péninsule coréenne) sur la fourniture de pétrole.

3. Takes the view that North Korea’s nuclear weapons programme constitutes a serious violation of the commitments given by North Korea under the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty, the International Atomic Energy Agency safeguard agreement, the Joint North/South Declaration on the Denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula and the 1994 Agreed Framework; believes that failure to halt this programme would probably entail at least the suspension of the KEDO Programme;
3. estime qu'un tel programme constitue une grave entorse aux engagements pris par la Corée du Nord au titre du traité de non-prolifération nucléaire, de l'accord de sauvegarde de l'Agence internationale pour l'énergie atomique, ainsi que de la déclaration commune de la Corée du Nord et de la Corée du Sud sur la dénucléarisation de la péninsule coréenne et du cadre conventionnel de 1994; considère que si ce programme n'était pas arrêté, cela pourrait impliquer à tout le moins la suspension du programme KEDO;

B. whereas in October 2002 the Government of the Democratic People's Party of Korea was reported to have admitted to a secret uranium enrichment programme in blatant violation of the KEDO Agreement, the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the 1992 Joint North-South Declaration on the Denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula,

A. whereas in October 2002 the Government of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) reportedly confessed to running a secret uranium enrichment programme in blatant violation of the KEDO Agreement, the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty and the 1992 Joint North-South Declaration on the Denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula,
