6. Paragraphs 4 and 5 shall not apply to credit institutions referred to in point (a) of paragraph 2 that offer to settle the cash payments for part of the CSD's securities settlement system, if the total value of such cash settlement through accounts opened with these credit institutions, calculated over the period of one year, is less than one per cent of the total value of all securities transactions against cash settled in the books of the CSD and does not exceed a maximum of EUR 2,5 billion per year.
