The image which our voters have of the European institutions, and we should be well aware of this, is one of a gravy train where overpaid and undertaxed apparatchiks and MEPs form a kind of Soviet-styled nomenclature, where decisions are often taken over the heads of the public, and certainly against the will and the interest of the citizens.
L’image que nos électeurs ont des institutions européennes, et nous devrions en être bien conscients, est celle d’une bonne planque où des apparatchiks et des députés européens surpayés et sous-taxés forment une sorte de nomenclature dans le style soviétique, où les décisions prises passent souvent par-dessus la tête des gens et, bien sûr, sont contraires à la volonté et à l’intérêt des citoyens.
