Your Rapporteur has taken into consideration the discussions held during the Workshop organised by the Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection on 11 December 2008 as well as the input received by several stakeholders, institutions and academia, such as CEN (European Committee for Standarisation), CEMA (European Committee of Associations of Manufacturers of Agricultural Machinery), Pesticide Action Network-Europe, Orgalime (The European Engineering Industries Association), Julius Kühn-Institute-Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants (JKI-Germany) and the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Informatics of the University of Agriculture in Krakow.
Votre rapporteur a tenu compte des discussions qui ont eu lieu dans le cadre de l'atelier organisé par la commission du marché intérieur et de la protection des consommateurs, le 11 décembre 2008, ainsi que des suggestions formulées par plusieurs parties intéressées, institutions et universités, comme le CEN (Comité européen de normalisation), le CEMA (Comité européen des groupements de constructeurs du machinisme agricole), l'association Pesticide Action Network-Europe, Orgalime (Association européenne de l'ingénierie industrielle), le centre fédéral de recherche sur les plantes cultivées - Institut Julius Kühn (JKI-Allemagne) et le département d'ingénierie agricole et informatique de l'université de sciences agricoles de Cracovie.

Estonia was therefore invited to take part in the next meeting of the COST Committee of Senior Officials on 17 and 18 October 1996 to present its RD policy. In the context of COST decisions to authorize RD institutes in non-COST countries to participate in individual actions, the Committee approved participation as follows: - Romania: Romanian Transport Research Institute Participation in COST Action 330: Teleinformatics links between ports and their partners - Hong Kong: Chinese University of Hong Kong Participation in COST Action B3: Development of new radiotracers and methods of quality assurance for nuclear medicine application - Cyprus: Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment Participation in COST Actions 66 and 67: -COST 66: Pesticides, Soil and Environment -COST 67: Chemodynamics and water quality protection in natural porous media - Cyprus: University of Cyprus (Department of Computer Science) Participation in COST Action 15: Many-valued Logics for Computer Science Applications - Russia: Institute of Applied Geophysics (Moscow) Participation in COST Action 251: Improved quality of service in ionospheric telecommunications systems planning and operation The Committee gave its approval to the extension of the following Actions: - COST 241: Characterization of advanced fibres for the photonic network (for 18 months) - COST 321: Research in the field of urban goods transport (for one year) The Committee approved the following new Actions: - COST 335: Passenger accessibility of heavy rail systems - COST 917: Biogenically active amines in food - COST 244bis: Biomedical Effects of Electro-magnetic Fields - COST 219bis: Access for elderly and disabled people to the information society - COST G3: Industrial ventilation The last two Actions will be given final approval by means of the written procedure.
