I am all the more pleased, because the liberal group has been closely involved in the negotiation process: firstly by tabling a number of amendments, also in the later stages, in order to keep the pressure on; secondly by supplying no less than three draftsmen of opinions and thirdly, as already mentioned, by the commitment of the liberal Committee Chairman, Mr Watson, in the final and deciding stage.
Et je le dis avec d'autant plus de satisfaction que le groupe libéral a participé intensivement au processus de négociation. Premièrement, en déposant plusieurs amendements, au cours d'une phase ultérieure également, afin de maintenir la pression ; deuxièmement, en "fournissant" pas moins de trois rapporteurs pour avis ; et, troisièmement, comme on l'a déjà dit, grâce aux efforts, au cours de la dernière phase - décisive - du processus, du président de commission libéral, mon collègue Graham Watson.
