Notwithstanding anything in these Regulations, the fee prescribed by section 4 does not apply to a ship registered in the United States where the ship’s radiotelephone installation has been inspected for the purpose of issuing a certificate valid for a period that will enable the ship to proceed to a Great Lakes’ port in the United States for inspection by an officer of the government of the United States pursuant to the Agreement between Canada and the United States for the Promotion of Safety on the Great Lakes by Means of Radio.

Par dérogation aux dispositions du présent règlement, le droit prescrit par l’article 4 ne s’applique pas à un navire immatriculé aux États-Unis lorsque l’installation radiotéléphonique du navire a été inspectée en vue de la délivrance d’un certificat ou d’un brevet valable pour une durée permettant au navire de se rendre à un port des Grands lacs des États-Unis pour y être inspecté par un agent du gouvernement des États-Unis conformément à l'Accord entre le Canada et les États-Unis visant à assurer la sécurité sur les Grands lacs par la radio.
