The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation SAFRAN's proposed acquisition of the solid rocket propulsion business of French state-owned SNPE, composed of SNPE's subsidiary SNPE Matériaux Energétiques ('SME') and SNPE's participation in REGULUS, a joint venture between SNPE and the Italian company Avio.
La Commission européenne a autorisé, en application du règlement de l'UE sur les concentrations, le projet d’acquisition, par SAFRAN, de l'activité «moteurs-fusées à propergol solide» de l'entreprise publique française SNPE, à savoir sa filiale SNPE Matériaux Énergétiques («SME») et sa participation dans REGULUS, une entreprise commune qu'elle détient avec la société italienne Avio.
