Reaffirms that conscientious objection to military service, to the production and distribution of certain materials, to certain specific medical practices and to certain forms of scientific and military research is a fundamental constituent of the freedom of thought, conscience and religion; calls on Member States that fail to protect that right to guarantee it; urges in addition the removal of all forms of discrimination between European citizens on the grounds of military service;
37. réaffirme que l'objection de conscience au service militaire, à la production et à la distribution de certains matériels, à certaines pratiques médicales spécifiques et à certaines formes de recherche scientifique et militaire est inhérente à la notion de liberté de pensée, de conscience et de religion, invite les États qui ne protègent pas ce droit à le garantir; souhaite par ailleurs l'élimination de toutes les discriminations entre citoyens européens résultant du service militaire;
