As rapporteur for the opinion of the parliamentary Committee on Rural Development, I welcome the ideas covered: the need for special action for regions with specific geographic characteristics, such as the outermost regions, the creation of a European patent for businesses and of a European statute for foundations, mutual societies and also associations, the issuing of bonds for financing specific projects and the need to encourage sustainable development within the internal market.
En tant que rapporteure pour avis de la commission parlementaire du développement régional, je me félicite des idées reprises: le besoin d’action particulière pour des régions aux caractéristiques géographiques spécifiques, telles que les régions ultrapériphériques, la création d’un brevet européen pour les entreprises, d’un statut européen pour les fondations, les mutuelles, mais aussi pour les associations, le lancement d’obligations pour le financement de projets concrets et le besoin de favoriser le développement durable au sein du marché intérieur.

As an alternative to the standardised approach, in future it will be possible also to apply an internal rating-based approach, which can take the form of either a ‘foundation’ or an ‘advanced’ approach.
