I'm very encouraged by the role of the new executive director, Dr. Toepfer, of the United Nations Environment Programme, who is not only taking over that program but is tasked to chair a committee to look at all the UN and international agencies, institutions, secretariats and so on to try to bring some coherence into the international community.
