Already we are seeing the following: hospital beds being closed; downsizing in emergency; food, laundry, and other so-called non-core services being privatized; hospitals sending patients home who are still in need of care that they often have to pay for out of their own pockets; long-established medical services being de-insured or scaled back; and co-payments and premiums being increased.
