With a view to ensuring that OCTs derive the maximum benefit from the provisions of this Decision and that they may participate under the best possible conditions in the Union’s internal market as well as regional, sub-regional and international markets, the association aims at contributing to the development of the OCTs’ trade capacities by:

This communication is adopted together with a complementary but distinct Social Business Initiative (SBI) which supports a specific kind of enterprise, namely those whose primary purpose is explicitly social and/or environmental, that reinvest profits for that purpose, and whose internal organisation reflects the societal objectives.[13] The SBI deals with the ecosystem required for social business and social innovation to flourish and contribute to the European social market economy.
La présente communication est adoptée en même temps qu’une initiative complémentaire mais distincte, l’initiative pour l’entrepreneuriat social, qui soutient une catégorie spécifique d’entreprises, à savoir celles dont la finalité première est explicitement sociale et/ou environnementale, qui réinvestissent leurs bénéfices à cet effet, et dont l’organisation interne prend en compte les objectifs sociétaux[13]. Cette initiative porte sur l’écosystème nécessaire pour que l’entrepreneuriat social et les innovations sociales prospèrent et apportent leur contribution à l’économie sociale de marché européenne.

Concludes that we need more Europe; considers that there is an urgent need for political and intellectual leadership in order to put the European project back on track; takes the views that the Commission needs to make full use of its initiative rights in the fields of shared competences, notably in energy policies, to empower the EU for challenges ahead; believes that the eco-social-friendly internal market project which underpins the Union needs to be completed; urges that mechanisms for economic governance within the Union be strengthened, especially from the point of view of better accountability, contingency management, and economic and employment policy coordination; Asserts that the financial and supervisory reform agenda must move forward rapidly, addressing not just the shortcomings observed in the crisis but also the need to design a financial system that supports the real economy, is conducive to financial stability and engenders economic growth, long-term investment, job creation, social cohesion and the fight against poverty; Considers it necessary to redesign the taxation systems in a fair manner, in a way that discourages the build-up of excessive leverage and promotes social justice, entrepreneurial spirit and innovation; Calls for a revitalisation of the sustainable social market economy and the values it enshrines;
conclut qu'il nous faut plus d'Europe; considère qu'il est urgent de donner à l'Europe l'impulsion politique et intellectuelle nécessaire pour remettre le projet européen sur la bonne voie; est d'avis que la Commission doit utiliser pleinement son droit d'initiative dans les domaines de compétences partagées, notamment la politique énergétique, afin de donner à l'Union le moyens de relever les défis à venir; considère qu'il convient d'achever la réalisation du projet de marché intérieur favorable à l'écologie et à la société, qui sous-tend l'Union; demande instamment que les mécanismes de gouvernance économique soient renforcés au sein de l'Union, en particulier en vue d'améliorer la responsabilité, la gestion des crises ainsi que la coordination des politiques économiques et de l'emploi; affirme que la réalisation du programme de réforme du secteur financier et du cadre de surveillance doit se poursuivre à un rythme soutenu, non seulement pour faire face aux lacunes révélées par la crise, mais aussi pour répondre à la nécessité de créer un système financier qui soutienne l'économie réelle, qui contribue à la stabilité financière et qui participe à la croissance économique, aux investissements à long terme, à la création d'emplois, à la cohésion sociale et à la lutte contre la pauvreté; estime nécessaire de remodeler les systèmes fiscaux de manière équitable afin de décourager tout recours excessif à l'effet de levier et de promouvoir la justice sociale, l'esprit d'entreprise et l'innovation; demande une revitalisation de l'économie de marché sociale et durable et des valeurs qu'elle défend;

Believes that in order to establish an effective internal market, the Commission must produce a clear set of political priorities through the adoption of a ‘Single Market Act’, which should cover both legislative and non-legislative initiatives, with the aim of creating a highly competitive social market economy;
