The Sargasso Sea is the world's only non-landlocked body of water, located within the North Atlantic Gyre, bounded on the west by the Gulf Stream, on the north by the North Atlantic current, on the east by the Canary current and on the south by the North Atlantic equatorial current.
La mer des Sargasses est la seule étendue d'eau au monde qui ne compte aucun rivage. Située dans le tourbillon nord-atlantique, elle est bordée par le Gulf Stream à l'ouest, la dérive nord-atlantique au nord, le courant des Canaries à l'est et le courant nord équatorial de l'Atlantique au sud.
