The time has come to harmonise legislation on this subject and, until that happens, the Commission should use the tools that they say they are preparing and straight away set out a very clear-cut, rigorous position on the policies that the Union and its Member States should apply, so that we can take a clear stand on these issues.
Il est temps d’harmoniser la législation dans ce domaine et, dans l’attente de cette harmonisation, la Commission devrait utiliser les instruments qu’elle affirme préparer et définir sur-le-champ une position très claire et très rigoureuse quant aux politiques que devraient appliquer l’Union et ses États membres, afin que nous puissions adopter une ligne de conduite ferme concernant ces questions.
