Nevertheless, Member States should be entitled to exempt such a parent undertaking from the obligation to draw up such consolidated financial statements in certain circumstances, provided that its members and third parties are sufficiently protected.

Your rapporteur considers that the inclusion of off-balance sheet transactions in the notes is not necessary, since the rules of IAS 1, Presentation of Financial Statements, already give a sufficient guarantee that information relevant to decision-making is disclosed by the companies.
