However, some elements are already available from the intermediate evaluation and the statistics gathered by the Commission and the National Agencies in the participating countries: Approximately 15,000 schools have participated in European Education Projects funded under Comenius Action 1; more than 5,000 teachers have attended a Comenius Action 3.2 in-service training course during the period 1995-1999; the European Education Projects funded under Comenius Action 1 show a positive impact on schools, pupils and teachers, with results such as the acquisition of new skills and knowledge (in particular skills related to the use of information and communication technology and social skills), the improvement of co-operation at school level and between the school and the local community, a stronger inter-disciplinary approach to teaching and learning, and a clearer European dimension.
Toutefois, certains éléments sont déjà disponibles grâce à l'évaluation intermédiaire et aux statistiques collectées par la Commission et les Agences nationales dans les pays participants : Quelque 15 000 écoles ont participé aux projets européens d'éducation financés au titre de l'action Comenius 1 ; pour la période 1995-1999, plus de 5 000 enseignants ont pris part à un cours de formation continue au titre de l'action Comenius 3.2 ; les projets européens d'éducation financés au titre de l'action Comenius 1 font montre d'un impact positif sur les écoles, les élèves et les enseignants, les résultats allant de l'acquisition de nouvelles compétences et connaissances (en particulier, des compétences liées à l'utilisation des technologies de l'information et de la communication et des compétences sociales) à une dimension européenne plus claire, en passant par l'amélioration de la coopération au sein de l'école et entre l'école et la communauté locale et par un renforcement de l'approche interdisciplinaire de l'enseignement et de l'apprentissage.

However, it is already evident that the training activities supported under MEDIA II have helped to alter the attitudes and practices of independent professionals so that they more effectively take account of the European dimension, the development stage of projects and the use of transnational cooperation and spontaneous networks.
Toutefois, il apparaît d'ores et déjà que les actions de formation soutenues par MEDIA II ont contribué à orienter les mentalités et pratiques des professionnels indépendants dans le sens d'une meilleure prise en compte de la dimension européenne, de la phase de développement des projets, ainsi que de la mise en œuvre de coopérations transnationales et de réseaux spontanés.
