Supports the EU’s efforts to assist Iraq in promoting democracy, human rights, good governance and the rule of law, including by building on the experiences and achievements of the EUJUST LEX-Iraq mission, which – regrettably – completed its mandate on 31 December 2013; supports, also, the efforts of UNAMI and those of the SRSG to assist the Government of Iraq in strengthening its democratic institutions and processes, promoting the rule of law, facilitating regional dialogue, improving the provision of basic services and ensuring the protection of human rights;
9. soutient les efforts de l'Union visant à aider l'Iraq à promouvoir la démocratie, les droits de l'homme, la bonne gouvernance et l'État de droit, notamment en s'appuyant sur l'expérience et les réalisations de la mission EUJUST-LEX en Iraq, dont le mandat s'est malheureusement achevé le 31 décembre 2013; soutient également les efforts déployés par la MANUI et le RSSG pour aider le gouvernement iraquien à renforcer ses institutions et ses structures démocratiques, à promouvoir l'État de droit, à faciliter le dialogue régional, à améliorer l'offre de services de première nécessité et à assurer la protection des droits de l'homme;

15. Regrets that there is only one woman currently serving as Personal Representative of the EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) out of 14 positions of EU Special Representative/Personal Representative/Special Envoy or Special Coordinator ; urges the EU High Representative for the CFSP to appoint more women to the positions of Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG), Representative or Special Envoy; calls upon the EU High Representative for the CFSP to request that Member States submit to him the names of female candidates alongside those of male candidates when he is considering filling such high-level positions;
15. regrette qu'il n'y ait pour l'heure qu'une femme exerçant les fonctions de représentant personnel du Haut Représentant de l'UE pour la Politique étrangère et de sécurité commune (PESC), sur 14 postes de représentant spécial/représentant personnel/envoyé spécial ou coordinateur spécial ; invite instamment le Haut Représentant à nommer davantage de femmes aux postes de représentant spécial du secrétaire général, de représentant ou d'envoyé spécial; invite le Haut Représentant à demander que les États membres présentent des candidatures de femmes, à côté des candidatures d'hommes, lorsqu'il envisage de pourvoir de pareils postes de haut niveau;

urged the special representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the UN in Kosovo and called on the Commission to take the necessary steps, in cooperation with UNMIK, with a view to ensuring that a sustainable policy and the appropriate regulatory framework be developed allowing for improvement of Kosovo's tax collection capacity in order to increase budget revenue and attain budget sustainability;
